We’ve had many requests over the years to provide legal advice and now, at last, our new subsidiary can provide the help you need.
From 2 March 2020, when you’re confronted with a tricky client-drafted contract, you have one more option: engaging our new subsidiary company, informed Lawyers Pty Ltd to help you with legal advice, negotiation and drafting.
For over 25 years, professional indemnity insurance clients of Planned Cover clients have benefitted from having insurance reviews included as part of their insurance placement, and that’s not about to change. Our team at informed by Planned Cover will continue to provide those limited-scope reviews, which highlight contract clauses that raise a clear risk of infringing exclusions in your professional indemnity insurance cover.
But on some projects, you might want more in-depth assistance, in negotiating with clients or their lawyers, drafting compromise clauses, writing your own terms and conditions, or understanding the legal as well as the insurance risks in the contract. informed Lawyers gives you one more choice.
Wendy Poulton, the Principal of informed Lawyers, has been a risk manager with Planned Cover for nearly fifteen years, giving her a solid understanding of the risks and opportunities faced by consultants in the construction industry.
Our services are limited to our core expertise, which is understanding contracts from the perspective of consultants. We can’t write a commercial lease for you, or set up a tax-minimising trust, or advise on litigation or claims.
This is how we can help:
Although we can’t offer the service for free, we’re happy to offer discounted rates for Planned Cover clients. To provide cost certainty, we’re offering Legal and Insurance Reviews at a fixed rate by length of contract, though negotiation has to be charged at an hourly rate. Please get in touch at email@example.com if you’d like to find out more about our service offering and pricing.
You can find out more on our website www.informedlawyers.com.au, along with contact details for any questions. We look forward to hearing from you.
